Warranty & Returns

At Zevlix Inc., we aim to provide clear and reliable after-sales support. This Warranty & Returns Policy applies to hardware purchased directly on zevlix.com (B2C retail) and to items provided for evaluation, testing, or promotion (B2B promotional, free, demo/loaner, beta/evaluation units). Except where mandatory law requires otherwise, this Policy is Zevlix’s sole and exclusive after-sales policy.

1) At-a-Glance

  • Free 12-Month Limited Warranty (defects only) for retail purchases on zevlix.com.
  • Extended Warranty (+12 months, optional): $1.99 per camera per month.
  • Zevlix Care+ (optional): $4.99 per camera per month (accidental damage: drops, liquid, power surge; plan limits/fees may apply).
  • Retail returns/exchanges: Repair/replace first; refunds only if Zevlix agrees or where required by law.
  • Promotional/Free/Demo/Beta (B2B): Provided AS-IS with DOA-only short-window exchange; not eligible for free warranty/Extended Warranty/Care+; Not For Resale (NFR).

2) Definitions

  • Retail Products (B2C): Hardware purchased and paid for on zevlix.com.
  • Promotional Products (B2B/Samples): No-charge or discounted units for evaluation, testing, or promotion (GWP gifts, free samples, demo/loaner, beta/evaluation, NFR).
  • Warranty Period: As described in Sections 3 and 4.
  • DOA (Dead-On-Arrival): Nonfunctional out of the box due to a verified manufacturing defect.
  • Valid Proof: Order number/invoice, product serial number (SN), issue description, and reasonable photo/video evidence.

3) 12-Month Limited Warranty (Free | Retail B2C)

  • Covers: Defects in materials and workmanship under normal, intended use.
  • Term: 12 months from the delivery date.
  • Remedy (at Zevlix’s discretion):
    • Repair with new or refurbished parts; or
    • Replace with a new or refurbished unit of equal or greater value; or
    • Where repair/replace is not feasible and Zevlix agrees or law requires, refund the amount actually paid (or provide equivalent store credit/gift card).
  • Cost: $0 (included with each device).
  • Transferability: Applies to the original purchaser; transfer may be permitted where local law and plan terms allow.

If a particular product line or accessory uses a different warranty period, the product page, in-box documentation, or official notice will govern.

4) Optional Protection

4.1 Extended Warranty (+12 months)

  • Adds a second year of the same defects-only coverage described in Section 3.
  • Price: $1.99 per camera per month.
  • Starts immediately after the free 12-month period; runs for 12 months.
  • How to buy: At checkout or within 30 days of the original purchase (proof required).
  • Accidental damage is not included.

4.2 Zevlix Care+

  • Adds accidental damage protection (drops, liquid ingress, power surge), in addition to defect coverage.
  • Price: $4.99 per camera per month.
  • Plan limits and any per-incident service fees/deductibles are disclosed at enrollment.
  • How to buy: At checkout or within 30 days of the original purchase (proof required).

4.3 Subscription Terms (Extended Warranty & Care+)

  • Monthly billing per enrolled camera.
  • Cancel anytime; coverage continues through the current billing cycle. Paid amounts are non-refundable.
  • Re-enrollment may require re-inspection or a waiting period; terms at the time of enrollment apply.

5) Exclusions (All Plans)

  • Misuse, abuse, improper installation, unauthorized modification or repair, neglect, or failure to follow instructions.
  • Cosmetic wear not affecting function (scratches, dents, discoloration).
  • Consumables and accessories (e.g., batteries, cables, mounts) unless expressly stated.
  • External events beyond reasonable control (e.g., theft/loss, natural disasters, power anomalies), except as specifically covered under Care+.
  • Serial numbers that are removed, altered, or missing.
  • Claims submitted outside applicable time windows.

6) Retail Returns, Exchanges & Logistics (B2C)

Principle: Repair/replace takes priority. Cash refunds are not promised and are provided only if Zevlix agrees or where required by law.

  • DOA Exchange: Within 30 days of delivery, if DOA due to a manufacturing defect, Zevlix will exchange for the same or equivalent model after inspection.
  • Unopened Exchange (optional): If enabled, 14–30 days with intact packaging and all accessories (as stated on the site).
  • Not accepted:
    • Orders not placed on zevlix.com (or without order/invoice).
    • Items not in original condition (missing cables/adapters/docs/accessories/packaging, or wear affecting resale).
    • Returns shipped from outside the original ship-to country/region.
    • Promotional items marked “non-returnable”.
    • Requests that violate this Policy.
  • Shipping & fees: Where permitted by law, original shipping/handling are non-refundable. For customer-initiated exchanges (e.g., wrong model/color), Zevlix may charge inspection/restocking and round-trip shipping.
  • Processing time: Typically 3–5 business days from receipt for inspection and resolution.
  • Risk & backups: Use a trackable, insured carrier. Back up/remove any data/items before shipping. Zevlix is not responsible for data loss or items left in the product.
  • Title: Title does not pass to Zevlix until receipt and acceptance of the return; after acceptance, Zevlix proceeds per this Policy.

7) RMA Service Process (Warranty / Exchange / DOA)

  • Start a request: Support → Request Service (RMA)
  • Ship the product: Follow the RMA instructions. Unless required otherwise by law, the customer pays inbound shipping to Zevlix.
  • Inspection & outcome: Zevlix will inspect and respond within 3–5 business days of receipt. For approved warranty repairs/replacements, Zevlix covers return shipping.

8) Third-Party & Authorized Channels

  • Returns/exchanges in this Policy apply only to zevlix.com retail orders. For other retailers, follow that retailer’s policy.
  • Warranty may still be available for purchases from authorized retailers with Valid Proof and a matching serial number.

9) Promotional / Free / Demo / Beta (B2B)

Not eligible for free warranty, Extended Warranty, or Care+. AS-IS with DOA-only short-window exchange; NFR (Not For Resale).

  • Applies to: GWP gifts, free samples, demo/loaner units, beta/evaluation units, and NFR items.
  • DOA is the sole remedy: Notify Zevlix within 7 calendar days of delivery with evidence; upon verification, Zevlix may repair or replace with the same or equivalent model (at Zevlix’s discretion).
  • Exclusions: Cosmetic issues, minor blemishes, installation errors, misuse, or shipments via non-approved carriers are not DOA.
  • Shipping: Customer pays inbound; Zevlix pays return shipping for approved DOA exchanges.
  • Relationship to paid plans: Not eligible by default. If Zevlix expressly authorizes enrollment in writing, coverage begins at enrollment and follows plan terms; fees are non-refundable.
  • Gifts vs. purchased item: GWP follows AS-IS/DOA-only; the paid primary product retains Section 3 warranty.

10) Legal & Liability

10.1 Exclusive Statement of Warranty (Merger Clause)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, this Policy constitutes Zevlix’s sole and exclusive statement of warranty and remedies for its hardware products. No statement, promise, or warranty—oral or written—made by any person (including employees, agents, resellers, or service partners) binds Zevlix or modifies, expands, or supersedes this Policy, unless set out in a separate written agreement signed by Zevlix or in Zevlix product-specific terms. Non-waivable consumer rights, if any, remain unaffected; where this conflicts with mandatory law, such law prevails.

10.2 Disclaimer of Implied Warranties

To the extent permitted by law, Zevlix disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and those arising from course of dealing, usage of trade, or course of performance. Where implied warranties cannot be disclaimed, their duration is limited to the applicable express Warranty Period.

10.3 Exclusion of Consequential and Incidental Damages

To the extent permitted by law, Zevlix is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages, and even if any limited remedy fails of its essential purpose.

10.4 Liability Cap

To the extent permitted by law, Zevlix’s total liability is limited to the remedies described above (repair, replacement, or—if applicable—refund/store credit) and shall not exceed the amount actually paid for the product.

11) Territory & Governing Law

  • Territory: Service is available where Zevlix or authorized partners operate; availability varies by country/region.
  • Governing law / disputes: Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, the law of the point of sale or delivery applies. Disputes are resolved per applicable legal procedures or any separately agreed dispute-resolution terms.
